Borislav Bankov presented the work and experience of the GATE Institute within DIANA, NATO’s network for stimulating defence innovation. In April this year, the Institute was approved as a NATO test centre in the field of big data, artificial intelligence and autonomous systems.
Based on the experience of GATE, a vision for a Bulgarian accelerator was presented, which should create conditions for the development of new dual-use technologies through enhanced cooperation between the administration, academia and industry. This would make Bulgaria’s participation in DIANA even more complete and would help modernize the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
