While completing an M.Sc. in Applied Artificial Intelligence at the International University of Applied Sciences – Germany (exp. 2026), Dobromir Tsolyov has rapidly established a research focus on healthcare and societal applications. His educational background centers on LLMs, Computer Vision, Explainability/Interpretability, Causal Inference and Reinforcement Learning.
At the GATE Institute, Dobromir plays for two teams – Digital Health and Intelligent Government. In the former, he acts as a Machine/Deep Learning researcher, while he is also actively involved in the R&D process for LLM-based solutions in the latter.
His previous professional experience in AI includes building an ML model for early lung cancer detection based on microRNA and developing an LLM-based dietary assistant for parents of autistic children. He also has a solid professional background in bizdev, marketing, data analysis and project management at startups and innovative projects.
