The “Up to GATE. Technology, Big Data & Beyond. 5 Years of Innovation” international forum, held from November 20 to 24, 2024 at GATE, brought together scientists and leaders to discuss innovative solutions using modern technologies. The event marked the fifth anniversary of the institute’s founding and included discussions, masterclasses, and demonstrations of new technologies.

The Sofia Information Integrity Forum 2024, held from November 7-9 at Sofia’s Central Military Club, brought together experts, public figures, and members of the Bulgarian and broader European community in a unified stand against disinformation.

The GATE Internship Programme 2024 was successfully completed and brought significant results in the application areas of Future Cities, Digital Health and Disinformation Detection and Research. 18 trainees joined the program, demonstrating excellent skills, creativity and willingness to work in a team.

A new initiative promises to transform urban life across Europe. Supported by the EU, The European Citiverses Uniting for Inclusiveness Project will develop an AI-supported platform built on Gothenburg’s digital twin. It aims to meet the needs of all residents and visitors, regardless of age or ability, creating a more equal and accessible urban environment.

GATE Institute will mark five years of its establishment with the international forum “Up to GATE. Technology, Big Data & Beyond. 5 Years of Innovation”. In five days – from November 20 to 24, 2024, the achievements of GATE will be presented, as a leading centre for technological transformation, part of the European ecosystem in the field of big data and artificial intelligence.
