A Seminar on entrepreneurship was hosted by GATE and ExcellEnt Project

The GATE Institute, in collaboration with the ExcellEnt Project, concluded a seminar titled “Unlocking Entrepreneurial Potential in Bulgaria.” The event gathered a diverse range of ecosystem stakeholders, including local entrepreneurs, business leaders, startup founders, policymakers, academics.    

GATE will participate in the FMI career forum

For the fifth consecutive year in a row, GATE will be presented at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI) career forum of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The event will occur on May 28-29, 2024 in the park in front of FMI. It is part of the Institute’s campaign to discover young talents through the summer internship program under the motto “GATE is OPEN”.    

The City Digital Twin was presented to local authorities

Prof. Desislava Petrova-Antonova, Lead of the “Future Cities” application domain at the GATE Institute, participated in a discussion of the Standing Committee for Strategic Development of Local Self-Government of the National Association of the Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, dedicated to the need to rethink the well-being of municipalities through the use of technology and data.

GATE Institute is featured as an example of a high-potential research and academic institution and one of the top AI research centres in Bulgaria, in a recently published report on Technology and Innovation in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

GATE Institute at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” expands its international cooperation to the Far East by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centre for Computational Sciences of the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
