Goals & Impact

Aim

The overall objective of the project is to conduct research focused on solving medico-biological issues related to COVID-19.

The project is implemented in partnership with the Medical University – Plovdiv.

Research

  • Biological and biomedical studies of SARS-CoV2, including the structure and organization of the virus, its mode of penetration into the body and cells, and mechanisms of intracellular transmission.
  • Development of therapies for the treatment of coronavirus infection and vaccines for the prevention of SARS-CoV2 infection, proven in in vivo models.
  • Development of research models for virus monitoring in real conditions and new diagnostic tools for specific detection of SARS-CoV2.
