Introduction

Petar Tomov is a researcher at the Gate Institute. He holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the Humboldt University of Berlin. His research focused on complex dynamical systems and chaos theory, with applications on computational neuroscience.

He has worked as a consultant for DAX companies, specializing in databases and data analysis, and later as a project manager and machine learning scientist for a Berlin-based agency developing customized machine learning solutions for corporate clients.

After moving back to Bulgaria, Petar co-founded two startups: one leveraging IoT technologies to track bee colony development and support sustainable beekeeping, and another utilizing remote sensing and machine learning analysis to assist water management utilities.
His research interests include system dynamics, semantics, large language models, and the application of machine learning to solve real-world challenges.
