Borislav Bankov, Business Development Expert at the GATE Institute, participated in the Eleventh International Scientific Conference HEMUS 2022, which was held under the title “Research, Technology and Innovation – the basis for building new defence capabilities”, on 3 June 2022.
GATE was presented at the international seminar “The smart city project – the building block of digital transformation” that was organized on 28 April 2022 by the Cluster Sofia Knowledge City and the University of Library Science and IT.
A GATE team visited the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, home to a number of high-tech companies and educational institutions. There, representatives of the Institute got acquainted with the work of laboratories for experiments with big data and digital twins in the industry and participated in a number of meetings and discussions organized by TNO, the largest scientific organization for applied research in the Netherlands.
The librarians described as “excellent” their unique experience of the training organized by “Big Data for smart society” (GATE) Institute in the regional library “Nikola Furnadjiev” in Pazardzhik. The course was held on two consecutive days, immediately after the Day of the librarian on May 11th.
