For the fourth year in a row, GATE will be presented at the career forum of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics (FMI) of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. The event will take place on May 10 and 11, 2023 in the park in front of FMI.

GATE is a partner in the new project ExcellEnt whose kick-off meeting took place on 20-21 April in the Greek city Larissa. The project is funded by the Horizon Europe programme and in the next two years will explore recipes for success in entrepreneurship and define the skills needed to become a successful entrepreneur.

The European Commission’s initiative Mutual Learning Exercise -The Whole of Government Approach in Research and Innovation – made its first country mission to Sofia. The event took place on 25-26 April 2023 and was hosted by Sofia University.

The Institute “Big data for Smart Society” (GATE) participated as a test center for new technologies from the DIANA network in an information meeting to present the NATO Innovation Fund and the Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA). The event held on 24 April 2023, also featured the Institute of Defense “Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov”, the other test center of DIANA in Bulgaria.

A GATE’s team attended the largest event on data spaces on 21-23 March 2023 in Hague, the Netherlands.

GATE’s Executive and Advisory board met together on 27-28 February 2023 in Sofia to discuss the Institute’s research agenda and business development topics.
